The Snap! Mobile family is getting bigger! We’re so excited to introduce you to Snap! Spend – our transparent money management platform for teams and clubs. Snap! Spend offers safe, simple, and secure support for your program’s financial needs. 

Snap! Spend’s platform gives teams and clubs all the money management tools they need in one place and provides families with secure online portals for their payments. Features include banking services provided by Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, simple budgeting, clear payments, and flexible systems for programs to manage money with ease and transparency.

How does Snap! Spend support coaches and group leaders?

Banking: End-to-end financial management. Snap! Spend combines everything you need to run your team or club in one system, saving you time and giving you a complete picture of your finances.

Budgeting: Budget, share, and track expenses and receipts. Snap! Spend gives you an easy way to budget for anticipated expenses and track any spending against your budget.

Payments: Organize, track, and accept team funds. Snap! Spend summarizes your collections progress and directs your attention to the important stuff, like which payments and players need your attention.

How does Snap! Spend support donors and families?

Security: Families receive an online portal to manage and pay their dues, secured with the same bank-level encryption used by major financial institutions.

Transparency: We enable team & club organizers to share budgets and spending with families so they can see where their contributions are going.

Convenience: Supporters maintain their flexibility with options to adjust billing permissions, enroll in autopay, and spread payments out over the course of a season.

Snap! Spend can be paired with any of Snap! Mobile’s administrative support solutions, like Snap! Raise (our digital fundraising tool) and Snap! Store (our ecommerce platform), so you can spend more time doing what you do best — building thriving programs for your students and athletes.

Today I’m so excited to announce that Groundwork has been acquired by Snap! Mobile, Inc. makers of Snap Raise, the leading fundraising solution for teams, youth clubs, groups and schools.

Over the last few months, we’ve been in discussions with Snap Mobile about ways we could work together. Through that process three things became evident. First, we share a common vision and desire to have a positive impact on leaders in youth sports. Second, we share a lot of customers who get tremendous value from both products. And finally, by joining forces we can accelerate how quickly we achieve our shared vision.

I could not be more excited about this next chapter together.

A Bold Future Together

The first thing I want you to know is we are just getting started. If you like what we’ve done so far, just wait until you see what we have in store for you. Our goal is to give you tools that you’ve never had before that make your lives easier and enable you to better champion kids. Snap! Mobile, Inc. just announced a $90M financing led by Elysian Park Ventures that will give us the resources to build truly transformational solutions.

The second thing I want you to know is Snap Mobile is just like Groundwork in the most important ways and has an audacious vision to impact kids’ lives.  Snap Mobile is customer obsessed, mission driven, and led by a visionary founder. Cole Morgan, Cole began his journey on the football field as a college QB before transitioning to a fundraising product sales rep. After years of this work, he realized there had to be a better way, which led him to start Snap Raise and digitize fundraising. Because he’s experienced first-hand the issues with fundraising and managing youth sports, he’s committed to making a better solution for youth sports leaders.

Through this process, Cole and I have been in lockstep and I’m confident that our shared passion for innovation will push us to create a seamless product capable of enabling teams, clubs and organizations to successfully fundraise, track, manage and run wildly successful and transparent programs.

Charging Forward, Solving Key Needs

The third thing I want you to know is that our team will continue to charge forward on Groundwork. I will oversee the Groundwork product as the Vice President of Financial Technology and the incredibly passionate Groundwork team will join the Snap! team to continue to serve you. Our roadmap is still laser focused on the things you’ve told us are most important to you: income budgeting, receipt tracking and more user roles. And now, we’ll have more resources to get these features shipped even faster. In the long term, we’ll be integrating fundraising and other tools that will make your life easier.

Lastly, I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who’s made this possible: our customers, employees, investors, and everyone who believed in us. Acquisition Furthers Snap! Mobile’s Development of the first High School Arts & Athletics Program Management Platform

Snap! Mobile today announced its acquisition of sports fintech startup Groundwork, a pioneering financial management platform for youth sports.

Through the acquisition, Snap! Mobile, Inc. expands its product range to be the first integrated fintech solution built, specifically to enable high school arts, athletic and youth sports programs to raise, budget, and manage money transparently in one easy to use solution

Snap! Mobile, Inc.’s acquisition of Groundwork closely follows the company’s closure of a $90M Series B round, one of the largest in the high school sports and extracurricular activities space and marks the first acquisition for the company.

Snap! Mobile, Inc. is the creator of Snap! Raise, the nation’s largest digital fundraising platform for high school arts and athletics programs, which serves more than 15,000 unique schools and organizations, and 48,000 teams, groups, and clubs around the country.

“Our goal at Snap! Mobile is to create a simple, integrated, full-service solution for high school arts and athletic programs, and our acquisition of Groundwork is a major step toward achieving this vision” said Cole Morgan, CEO of Snap! Mobile, Inc.

Groundwork founder Bill Lennon will join Snap! Mobile, Inc. as Vice President and lead its new financial technology team, where he will focus on accelerating the development of its high school financial management platform as well as the deployment of new financial services technology for youth sports organizations, from large youth sports leagues to individual booster clubs and school districts for existing Groundwork users.

“We started Groundwork with a simple goal in mind: to make it easy for youth sports leaders and volunteers to manage money safely so they can focus on making a difference in kids’ lives,” said Lennon. “Many of the individuals responsible for the financial success of youth sport organizations are first-time volunteers and busy parents. Groundwork is designed to enable anyone to step in, get up to speed, and manage organization and team funds in just a few clicks.”

Since its inception Groundwork processed more than $152M in payments from 13,800 teams and provides youth sports organizations with a financial management platform built to make managing money safe and easy.

Organization administrators, like executive directors, presidents, and treasurers of non-profit recreational, travel, and high school booster clubs use Groundwork. The platform enables them to open FDIC-insured deposit accounts via a partnership with Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC. They can easily collect dues, manage budgets, issue debit cards, and disburse funds

Teams can budget, collect, and spend money under the oversight of their parent organization, which maintains financial controls and transparency into team finance. This makes financial management immensely easier for large organizations with dozens of teams and dynamic spending needs.
